Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad's pain-point was the lack of high-level visibility over their IT environment. To this end, Redynamics Asia was assigned to deploy System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and System Center Service Manager (SCSM) to assist in managing their IT environment.
Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB) is owned by the Ministry of Finance, and its main function is to provide financial assistance to capital-intensive industries. Incorporated in 1973, BPMB evolved from being a corporation established to encourage and assist entrepreneurship within the Bumiputera community by providing necessary financial services.
BPMB's IT department caters to some 500 employees and 2 major subsidiaries, and needed a system capable of monitoring servers, deploying updates whilst reducing the initial time spent for these tasks.
The IT department also needed a system capable of troubleshooting issues and viewing the state-of-health of their current IT services on a real-time basis.

BPMB understood that to be more efficient, their IT environment would need to be able to provide preemptive notification in order to prevent downtime and for them to have better monitoring control. Servers that were deploying SCOM were upgraded to Hyper-V.
The previous Helpdesk system was replaced to make way for Service Manager and SCCM was deployed to gain enhanced insights into and provide control over IT systems. Redynamics Asia was chosen to deploy these solutions because of the proven track record and successful prior engagements.
Deployment of SCOM has provided BPMB with an alert system for administrators to be aware of any problems and to be able to troubleshoot these problems before it affects mission-critical systems. This minimizes system downtime and deployment of personnel for time-consuming firefighting.
With the deployment of SCCM, BPMB comprehensively assesses, deploys, and updates servers and client computers without the need to perform individual updates, thus reducing workload to perform other important tasks. It increases efficiency in the IT Helpdesk department by increasing Helpdesk scenario support.

Running monthly reports can also be a tedious task previously but with SCSM, running report is now within a click of a button. With the help of Redynamics' solution, BPMB is able to increase efficiency and have better visibility and control of their IT environment.
